We’re looking for someone to fill a brand new role as our Web Analyst, measuring web traffic and transactions across our channels, interrogating the analytics to quantify performance, trends, and opportunities, and translating that data into meaningful reports.
Our senior management and wider teams will look to you to provide insight, commentary and recommendations – not just for core dashboards and business-as-usual-reports, but for key development projects too. As well as meeting regularly with department heads to set up bespoke reports and to track ongoing promotions and campaigns, we’ll need you to proactively seek out information that will add value and insight into our business and help steer future decisions.
You’ll also take the helm in driving the adoption of analytics and data-driven decisions across the business, by discovering the analytics requirements for key stakeholders, agreeing a timeline for reports and designing intelligent dashboards to communicate relevant information. Importantly, you’ll liaise with our in-house technical team on tracking requirements to ensure we have excellent access to accurate and insightful information at all times.
It goes without saying you’ll need to be a dab hand with web analytics and SEO tools to do this role, and be able to operate Microsoft Excel with your eyes closed. Solid experience interrogating large databases and manipulating output (eg SQL), as well as running and reporting on MVT, is essential. We’d also like to see excellent statistical integrity, a proactive, can-do attitude and a degree in science, maths or computer science.
