WHAT WE NEED IN A NUTSHELL
As part of our digital marketing team, you will help support the growth of our social media channels, producing on-brand content that aligns with our overall marketing objectives and engaging with our growing community across all social platforms.
A true social media advocate, you will live and breathe social media and will be bursting with ideas of how we take our social activity to the next level.
WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
Reporting into the Social Media Manager, you will be directly interacting and engaging with our audiences on all our owned social media channels. You’ll be responsible for creating on-brand content to engage and grow relevant communities of customers in our social space, with a focus on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Vine and Google+.
As well as day-to-day channel management, you’ll be creating daily blog content to tell stories about our sellers, report on trends and highlight new and exciting products. You’ll work with blog contributors, both internally and externally to produce a broad range of content to engage our customers. You’ll approach content from a creative and commercial perspective, working with other functions across the business to ensure the content plan is supporting all commercial opportunities. As well as this, you’ll also be involved in the content creation for larger, seasonal marketing campaigns and initiatives that support wider business objectives.
THE TYPE OF PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media! You’ll need to be truly social media savvy with a solid understanding of the culture of each social platform and how to interact with our customers in an engaging and relevant way. Social media provides us with an opportunity to express the personality of the brand in a unique way, and you’ll be an expert in using our tone of voice confidently to drive conversation with our fans and followers.
THE KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE NEED
- Active social media fan with in-depth understanding of key social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube. Google plus etc)
- Exceptional copywriting skills, confident spelling and grammar
- Blogging experience
- Social content creation
- Experience in social community management preferable
