Pinterest board of the week: Turquoise
At notonthehighstreet.com we’re big fans of Jenny Packham’s bridal collection, so you can imagine our excitement when Kate Middleton attended the Our Greatest Team Rises event, celebrating the country’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes, in a turquoise Jenny Packham gown. We love the intricate detailing on the dress from the lace caplet sleeves, the star-studded sash belt to the row of buttons down the back. It leaves the question though… does it come in white?
This stunning bespoke look has of course therefore inspired our Pinterest board of the week: Turquoise.
Turquoise is a stunning colour to incorporate into your wedding day whether you’re having a seaside theme or adding splashes of colour to your day. Sometimes it’s the contrasting colours that create the biggest impact. We love combining turquoise with poppy red or small touches of aqua with blushes of petal pink.
Your wedding cake is a fun and tasty way to add turquoise to your day. You can really get creative with the design by opting for a patterened art deco-style or a sweet birdcage creation. Alternatively, you can give all your guests a delicious turquoise cake pop as a wedding favour. Check out our Pinterest board for inspiration.
Wedding fashion accessories are another way to input some turquoise into your wedding day style. Whether it’s your bridal shoes, the bridesmaids’ dresses, the ribbon around the bouquets, the groomsmens’ ties and waistcoats or your wedding day jewellery, there are lots of possibilites.
Turquoise styling touches like table decorations or room accessories are a charming way to include a pop of colour into your special day. You could tie turquoise ribbon to the back of chairs and pews instead of covers or use blue-tinted vases to display your wedding flowers.
