This week we’ve been celebrating pretty patterns on Pinterest; paying particular attention to floral prints and stripes. Patterns are a way of introducing intriguing, vibrant and stylish flashes of colour in your wedding styling. They can be pretty and classic or clashing and bold, making the trend extremely versatile and easy to make your own.

For a style statement why not mix up your patterned styling pieces? Some great ways to experiment with this are to combine “cool-clashing” patterned votives, mix wedding signage, add DIY touches to your favours and decorations with unusual ribbon, or buy or hire beautiful mismatched vintage crockery for a tea party feel.

As our Pinterest searches have revealed, a great way to use and also mix up patterns is with bridesmaids’ dresses. How cool is this look?
