Our Very Own Bake Off

In an attempt to recreate The Great British Bake Off in our own offices, we gathered our finest cake makers and biscuit bakers to celebrate the finale of our favourite show on TV. We decked out our finest meeting room with multi-coloured bunting (no bake off is complete without bunting), dusted off our cake stands and set out the all-important tasting forks.

As for our Mary and Paul… well. It so happens that our office manager Michael is somewhat of a gourmet – the obvious match for the silver haired Judge. And as for Mary, that was easy. Not only is our Head of Campaigns, Jess, a natural born baker, but she also shares the same sense of style as the GBBO queen herself. Can you see the similarities?

Now for the bakes. We’re happy to say there wasn’t a soggy bottom in the house. Our bakers outdid themselves. We had chocolate cake, cheesecake, orange tart, lemon drizzle and even a tiramisu!

After a tense round of judging – and with the help of the rest of the company taste testing – a final decision was made.
