Just a Normal Day in the Office…
If there’s ever an opportunity to dress up, eat cake and decorate the office; we take it. And Halloween was no exception.
Decorating the office
The first step to achieving Halloween success was to fill the office with as many Halloween-related decorations as we could get our hands on. Luckily for us, our amazing sellers did most of the hard work for us and provided a whole host of accessories to make HQ feel suitably spooky. Daisyley sent us an array of Halloween bunting that filled our reception area. The Contemporary Home provided a Halloween wooden garland sign and little witchy tea light holders. Pearl & Earl sent us a whole host of goodies, including huge paper pumpkins, Halloween straws and lots of appropriately coloured streamers to decorate the office. Rabbit & Gold sent us spooky wall stickers (which were extremely fun to put up on the wall) and skull bunting was provided by the The Cotton Bunting Company. The Blueberry Patch by Sarah Benning sent us hanging wooden Halloween pumpkins; a brilliant solution if carving your own seems a bit too much like hard work. Edamay sent us the little spooky spiders and the felt pumpkin decorations were sent in courtesy of Quirky Boots. The Little Picture Company sent in some of their glass place card holders, which we loved; we also threaded some ribbon through the top of them to turn them into Halloween bunting.
Halloween feast
There isn’t a week that goes by where we don’t find an occasion for cake, and Halloween gave the notonthehighstreet.com bakers a chance to get a bit gory. We had mountains of ghoulish ghost cupcakes, blood-splattered sponges and Joanne’s famous three-layer cake got a special Halloween makeover. And, as ever, it all tasted amazing (note the use of the past tense; it’s all gone now).

Angry ghost cupcakes

Particularly angry ghost cupcakes

Blood-splattered cake (we didn't let it put us off)

Three-layer cake (Halloween style)

More ghost cupcakes (you can't have too many ghost cupcakes in our opinion)

Halloween straws for drinking poison (or orange squash, as it's more commonly known)
Fancy dress
We’ve saved the best pictures until last. We are good at cake and we can decorate the office, but when it comes to fancy dress, we rule. We’re so good at it, in fact, that we must warn the feint-hearted amongst you that you might find the below images a little disturbing. If you don’t think you can handle some fake blood, prosthetic skin and frankly alarming amounts of face paint, it’s probably best to look away now. Scroll down at your peril…

Bit of a pain in the neck

Phu seemed to be having a bad day

Cereal killer. Get it?!

A cat and a devil pimp. A match made in hell...

Like a bat out of hell...

Walking like an Egyptian

Splitting headache

Ellie was less than satisfied with the service she received from her dermatologist

Spot the head case

Hubble bubble, toil and trouble

All dolled up
Now we’re off to scrub fake blood from our beards (well, one or two of us are), finish carving our pumpkins and wait for the trick-or-treaters to arrive. How have you celebrated Halloween this year? Let us know in the comments below.
