How To: Kids’ Easter Table

Besides overindulging in all things chocolate, Easter is the perfect time to get the family together and make a fuss of the kids. For big gatherings, we find it works best to set up a kids’ table. Strictly no adult interference, apart from perhaps the odd wipe of a chocolate-covered face.

Putting winter firmly behind us, we’re making this Easter all about bright primary colours and having fun. We’ve put together our top tips to help you recreate our kids’ table at home. With these brilliantly simple ideas you’re guaranteed a visit from the Easter bunny.

Let’s face it, the weather at this time of year is nothing short of unpredictable. Whilst an alfresco Easter sounds tempting, we’ve decided to play it safe and bring the outdoors in. Our Artificial Grass Table Runner is a great way to add a garden-fresh feel to celebrations and is the perfect backdrop for some exceptionally cute Easter decorations. Cue pastel bunnies.

Whether you’re having chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner – or serving something a little more traditional – a fun place setting is an Easter essential. We’ve used our Easter Bunny Egg Cosy and Vintage Milk Bottles to really set the scene and keep things playful. Who doesn’t love a candy striped straw? Our chalkboard bunny labels are also a particular favourite and work perfectly as alternative place cards.

There are also a range of DIY decorations you can make at home. Try decorating or dying eggs with the kids in preparation for Easter. We’ve used three different styles: two tone, metallic and marbled. Wrapping your painted eggs in string can also add a rustic look the decorations. Try arranging your beautifully decorated eggs on a cake stand, or even hang them with ribbon from the ceiling for a truly magical look.

We have two words that’ll literally blow your mind: edible centrepieces. Decorating your table with sweet treats is a sure fire way to win extra brownie points with the kids this Easter. You’ll just have to make sure no one tries to steal a taste before pudding. Our Chocolate Egg Tree is not only a show stopper, it’s also delicious (we speak from prior experience).
