Tell us something less ordinary about yourself.
I’m a novice birder and have only half-jokingly been plotting to get a selfie with one of the giant pelicans in St James Park.

What did you dream of being when you were growing up and why?
An inventor. I couldn’t stop tinkering in my dad’s basement workshop and inventing all sorts of things, including a flying machine and a mattress car. I’m happy to say my design skills have advanced slightly since then – but I’m still waiting for my flying machine.

What three words might your friends use to sum you up?
Dedicated, nerdy, and silly.

I wanted to take my career forward with a business I believed in. Those opportunities don’t grow on trees. When I heard about why notonthehighstreet.com was founded, how we enable small creative businesses in the UK, and that my particular skills were needed, I pounced on the opportunity.

Describe one of your best days here.
The first day that my research helped explain something we previously couldn’t explain – and every day that’s happened since.

Swedish princess cake, because Swedish princess cake.
