Get to grips with the quintessential childhood art of den building. You don’t need much more than a few poles (although sturdy twigs would work just as well), a blanket and some string. This simple den makes the perfect hidey-hole – for both indoors and out – and is just the right size for a mini-dadventure.
What you’ll need:
3 x sturdy poles (decorated to your taste!)
1 x roll of sturdy string
1 x blanket
6 x large pegs
1 x cushion
Tie the three poles together, knotting the string about 10cm from the top.
Pull the base of the poles apart to create a solid teepee structure.
Drape a blanket around the teepee, ensuring there there is an opening between two poles. Peg the blanket in place, just below where the string is tying the three poles together.
Peg back the blanket edges at the front of the teepee to create a door.
Furnish as desired with a soft floor cushion and toys of your choice.
