This is Laura Spring, the designer behind the eponymous accessories label. She started her business in Glasgow in 2011 and, combining her background in graphic design and screen printing skills, created a range of everyday accessories and textiles in her now-signature prints. Laura (as her name might suggest) is interested in the weather, and her work is often inspired by the seasons. We’re big fans of Laura’s work, and asked to have a sneak peek behind the scenes in her Glasgow studio to see how her designs come to life.
Much like her studio, Laura lives in an effortlessly cool apartment in Glasgow with her husband, Dave. It’s so cool, in fact, that it was featured in The Guardian last month. Her home is adorned with textiles and accessories in her characteristic designs. Her statement prints (‘Windy Weather’, ‘Warm Weather’ and ‘Wet Weather’) are available as laptop cases, keyrings, tote bags, pencil cases and more. We love her stylised meteorological symbols, simplistic designs and eye-popping colours.
