Meet Gabriella and Joanne
Gabriella will be having a busy Christmas Day this year – she’s cooking dinner for the whole family! On Christmas Eve she’ll be with old school friends, enjoying some mulled wine in her local pub.
Joanne will be spending Christmas at her family home with presents and a visit to the pub on Christmas morning followed by Christmas dinner. For dessert Joanne will be enjoying a culinary cocktail of Christmas pudding, a mince pie, custard, cream and ice cream – all in one bowl!
When we asked Gabriella and Joanne what notonthehighstreet.com means to them, both were brimming with festive goodwill! Joanne’s passion for products, customers and trend-spotting means she loves connecting unique and beautiful items with delighted customers. Gabriella’s focus is individuality, she loves helping customers to express their originality by offering products which are unique and truly personal, whilst helping to promote creative small businesses.
Meet Mountain and Molehill
Mountain and Molehill is the creation of London-based Elizabeth Smallman. Elizabeth originally trained as an actress, but found all sorts of outlets for her creativity and love of vintage whilst waiting for her big break to arrive. The animal parades are the newest addition to Elizabeth’s range, and for her they are a classic notonthehighstreet.com item, being high quality, personal, and a little bit different. We couldn’t agree more!
Elizabeth’s favourite part of Christmas is making mulled wine with her mum. They use a traditional Victorian recipe called Smoking Bishop which appears in ‘A Christmas Carol’! Every year her Dad says very loudly that he doesn’t like mulled wine… although he never refuses a glass!
Elizabeth’s favourite soundtrack to the festivities is ‘All I want for Christmas is You’. This song featured on her first date with her husband, so although he doesn’t agree, this technically makes it their song!
