Inside our amazing Advent calendar today we have Fern McCaffrey, our Culture and Events Co-ordinator and Bobbie Cooper, our Receptionist and Office Assistant. These wonderful ladies work hard to look after us all here at HQ and have kept us well surrounded by festive cheer this Christmas! Fern is proudly displaying the Personalised Christmas List Bauble by Seahorse.
Meet Fern and Bobbie
Fern and Bobbie will both be enjoying this year’s festivities with their families. For Fern, it’s a chance to spend quality time with loved ones who are always so busy throughout the year. Bobbie is hoping that she and her family will be spending some time out in the snow – fingers crossed for a white Christmas Bobbie!
As is the case for so many of us, notonthehighstreet.com means inspiration and magic to Fern and Bobbie. Fern says, ‘I’m inspired by everyone in the team – the creativity and passion that people have for the products is amazing.’ Bobbie says, ‘notonthehighstreet.com is a magical place where you can find-out-of-the-ordinary products, that you thought you never needed but now can’t live without.’
Both Fern and Bobbie are coveting beautiful necklaces from notonthehighstreet.com this Christmas – Fern is hoping for the Personalised Engraved Astrological Necklace by Anna Lou of London, and Bobbie has her eye on the Glitter Charm Necklace by Violette.
Seahorse is a family business (including sheep!) based on the Isle of Lismore off Scotland’s west coast. Nicky and her team design and create lovely things in wood, paper, silver and china in their traditional Scottish croft, and love personalising items to tell stories and evoke memories.
Nicky’s favourite festive tradition is sending letters up the working chimney to Father Christmas. For those of us without, Nicky’s baubles are a wonderful way of capturing little ones’ Christmas requests. They can also be personalised to carry any inventive, funny or romantic messages; Nicky tells us that they have had a number marriage proposals this year!
Like our very own Bobbie, Nicky is wishing for a blanket of white this Christmas. Magical frosty days are rare on the island but startlingly beautiful when they do happen, with bright blue seas framed by white topped mountains.
