We open today’s Advent door to find our Cross-Site Manager Liz Willmore holding these gorgeous Christmas Baby Girl Shoes from Vevian. These delightful patent red shoes with a delicate ribbon fastening will make any little princess’ feet sparkle this Christmas.
How will you be spending Christmas?
For us Christmas is always a party. My seven sisters and I all descend on our family home in Kent – the festive joy lasts all day and includes a Stars in their Eyes style competition complete with fancy dress. Last year my Dad stole the show with his impression of Susan Boyle!
What’s on your Christmas list?
I’m not entirely sure that Vevian’s beautiful shoes come in my size, so this year I’ll be asking for the Personalised Mini Love Letter Necklace by Maria Allen Boutique, although you’re not really meant to force your other half into proposing! For me, this gift really epitomises notonthehighstreet.com – each product is unique and personal, there’s no other site like it. When I tell people I work here they often say it’s their favourite secret that they don’t want to share!
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
It has to be Mariah (she’s on fire…) Carey, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. Christmas isn’t complete without it!
Vevian is the creation of Vivienne Lopez, a qualified shoe designer who has a passion for creating the perfect pair of shoes. For Vivienne, shoes should not only complete an outfit but also express the personality and individuality of the wearer. Designed and handcrafted in the UK, Vevian’s shoes are made from high quality, soft and supple leather that feels great and is perfect for precious little feet.
How do your beautiful scarlet shoes epitomise notonthehighstreet.com?
We are a small British business that is re-inventing traditional baby shoes – these lovely shoes are a modern interpretation of classic style that would have been worn by our grandmothers’ generation. We make all our pairs using traditional techniques, and once worn they can be stored away in their beautifully-lined wooden shoe boxes to be treasured forever.
What would you most like for Christmas?
I would love to have a white Christmas right here in London!
What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
I’ll be settling down in front of Love Actually, with a glass of mulled wine in hand.
What’s your favourite Christmas tradition?
Each year we buy a real Christmas tree, which we decorate whilst listening to carols. Turning on the lights every night until Christmas always builds the festive magic.
