A Midsummer Night’s Dream

It’s notonthehighstreet.com tradition that at some point during the summer months we down tools and get the whole team together for an evening of merriment. After the success of our Make, Do & Meet event last week, we were definitely in the mood to celebrate. Once we had plied our sellers with as much tea and as many cupcakes as they could handle, they went on their way. Then our incredible creative team swung into action and began transforming The Garden Rooms at Syon Park into a magical summery wonderland.

The theme for this year’s summer party was (rather appropriately) A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the room was decorated with trees, lanterns, petals, ribbons and candles. We dressed accordingly with floral garlands and corsages in our hair, floaty dresses and skirts and even had our faces painted with butterflies, flowers, glitter and the like. The male contingent of team was slightly less thrilled about the fancy dress theme, but there were the odd few who indulged in a little face painting (we won’t name names).

We also had a photo booth at the party which was the most brilliant fun. The Photo Emporium is an extremely cool company that provides a unique photo booth experience for events. They set up a vintage-inspired backdrop, bring a box of quirky props and take studio-style shots of partygoers. The photos print there and then, so you have an instant souvenir to take away from the evening. These are just some of the many (many, many) photos that were taken.

Big thanks to The Photo Emporium and to our fantastic creative team for pulling together such a brilliant party. There were a few bleary eyes the next day but nobody minded – all had had a brilliant time.
