15th December: Meet Steve
What do you do? I make sure that we use nice, interesting words. And that the ones we use are spelled correctly and are roughly in the right order.
Favourite Christmas food? Mince pies. And Christmas Cake (provided there’s marzipan, and lots of it).
Favourite Christmas song? A tie between Darlene Love’s All Alone On Christmas (it’s more jolly than it sounds) and The Pogues/Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale Of New York.
Favourite Christmas tradition? Watching the X Factor final and running bets on how many times Louis Walsh says “I want people to vote for you!” whilst waving a pen.
Favourite Christmas film? I don’t like most festive films. I do have fond childhood memories of something called Bernard and the Genie, which was a BBC film from the 90s. I’m not sure how good it would look now, mind.
What do you hope Santa will bring you this year? A Jensen Interceptor (a classic British sports car from the 60s). I won’t get one. I can tell you that now.
